Learn about the latest in Labcorp DCT solutions by connecting with us at regional meetings around the globe – May 2022
Welcome to the May 2022 Labcorp Drug Development Decentralized Clinical Trial (DCT) blog. Because spring is a time traditionally packed with industry conferences, we will devote this blog to reviewing some of the highlights of our plans for the spring conference season. We hope to connect with you at one of these venues!
For the fourth year in a row, you can find us at the Dynamic Global Events Virtual Clinical Trials Conference, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 18-19. We are excited about the return to an in-person format for this year’s conference. We like this DCT-focused show because of how it brings together a great mix of large and smaller pharmaceutical companies, along with people from the regulatory sector, patients and patient care providers, as well as vendors. Kurt Lumsden, who leads global operations for our Mobile Clinical Services, will deliver a presentation at 10 a.m. on Thursday May 18 titled “Create Patient-Centric Trial Experiences Through Product-Centric Approaches.”
That same week, Kurt will also be delivering a talk at DIA China titled “Increase Trial Resiliency Through Technology – Mobile Clinical Solution Implementation in the APAC Region.” Although this talk will be done remotely due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions, our local teams will be present to connect with you, equipped with the latest information about the growing use of DCT methodologies. The final program for DIA China will be available in early May, at which time we will announce the timing of our talk during the May 19-22 program.
We are looking forward to supporting the 2022 ARCS Annual Conference in Sydney, Australia, being held May 23-25. Linda Ross, our New Zealand-based associate director for commercial strategy, DCTs, will be presenting along with other speakers as part of a “rapid fire” session on May 25 entitled “New Technologies Enabling Clinical Trials.”
Further, attendees at the Medidata NEXT Basel event on June 9 will hear Clare Campbell, senior director of strategy & solutions, speaking on a panel about the growing use of wearables and sensors in clinical trials. We are very excited about our partnership with Medidata for use of the Sensor Cloud and are looking forward to connecting with attendees at the NEXT event.
Finally, DIA US is rapidly approaching. In addition to having a large booth presence, Labcorp Drug Development will have three Innovation Theater presentations. Kurt Lumsden will be presenting “Transforming the Patient Experience in Decentralized Clinical Trials” on June 22 at 3:10 p.m. Consistent with the DIA theme of expanding patient diversity and access to clinical trials, Kurt’s talk will cover strategies you can use in designing trials that are more patient-centric and designed to hit enrollment targets more efficiently through more integrative digital tools. Look for an additional communication from us about our other two talks, one by Ben Quartley on the Labcorp Patient Recruitment Ecosystem and another by Earl Seltzer on the use of AI modeling of diagnostic data to provide actionable insights for difficult-to-diagnose conditions. You won’t want to miss any of these talks, and there will be plenty of time to connect with us throughout DIA at our booth, 2009.
